Accelerator Centre Wins Accelerator of the Year Award
The Accelerator Centre has been named Accelerator of the Year by the Digital Finance Institute at the Canadian FinTech & AI Awards for the second year in a row.
The award recognizes the Canadian accelerator or incubator that has demonstrated success in helping financial technology (fintech) and artificial intelligence (AI) startups to launch their businesses and develop technology, while fostering ecosystem support to advance innovation.
“We’re very proud to be recognized as Canada’s fintech and AI accelerator of the year once again,” says Accelerator Centre CEO, Dr. Paul Salvini. “AI has grown 270 per cent in the past four years. It’s on track to disrupt almost every industry, and we’re at the forefront of an applied AI revolution. It’s a really exciting time for the Accelerator Centre.”
On average, the Accelerator Centre works with 100 new startups each year. Approximately half of its client companies are working with AI technologies or are innovating in fintech.
“We are grateful for the national recognition of our programming and of the success of our client companies,” says Salvini. “We look forward to continuing to support entrepreneurs and contributing to making Canada a world leader in AI and fintech innovation.”
