    Description

J.D. Wilson Photography
Developing A Photographer's Eye Workshops

"Photography is a language born of stillness.  My goal as a photographer and teacher is to encourage as many people as possible to discover their photographic voice.  By learning to be present, I believe that photography can take us on a remarkable journey of self-discovery - to a place beyond thought where we begin to find a reflection of ourselves in our images."  JDW

One-day workshops begin in the studio with an illustrated lecture followed by a short field excursion to put into practice the morning's discussion.  After the field session, group members will be encouraged to share their positive comments about each other's work in a gentle, constructive atmosphere.

Evening workshops are held one evening a week over a four-week period.  Each week there will be an illustrated discussion followed by an assignment which is to be completed by the following week.  A portion of the class will be devoted to critiquing each participant's assignment.

Weekend workshops are intensive three-day programs designed to make the most of early morning and early evening light for shooting session, with illustrated lectures in-between.
